Henry Ford HS volunteer coach arrested for sex crimes with teen

A volunteer basketball coach at Henry Ford High School has been charged with having sexual contact with a minor.

Kevin Orr-Matthews, 25, was a volunteer on the girls basketball team at Henry Ford High school in Detroit.

According to Prosecutor Kym Worthy, in September he began texting with a 15-year-old girl. Worthy said the girl was not a member of the basketball team.

The relationship escalated and, Worthy said, the two met up on September 19th. She said Orr-Matthews left his home at 3 a.m. and drove to the student's home on Detroit's west side. Worthy said the two had sexual contact in his car.

He was arrested and charged on Wednesday with two charges of criminal sexual contact. He could be sentenced to up to life in prison, if convicted.
