Jackie Wilson's contributions to music will be honored by his hometown of Highland Park this weekend.
A ceremony is being held on Saturday, August 20 at WHPR TV & Radio. At the ceremony, Cottage Grove Street will be officially become Jackie Wilson Lane.
Local state officials and Motown and R&B Hall of Fame Celebrities will be there to help mark the occasion.
The event starts at 4:30 p.m. WHPR TV & Radio is located at 160 Victor Street in Highland Park.
