Home invasion turns deadly on Detroit's east side
DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened overnight on the city's east side.
Police say it started with a home invasion on Andover Street, near State Fair. Two people inside the home were shot. A man in his 30s was hit in the stomach and died.
Another man in his 50s was hit in the ankle. We're told he's in stable condition.
Police say the victims were upstairs when a group burst into the house and announced a holdup. Shots were then fired.
Police haven't given a description of the suspects.
Police say a neighbor that lived down the street came outside and went into cardiac arrest, and died while being rushed to the hospital.
