House, Senate members join FOX 2 to debate DPS bailout bill

The Michigan House of Representatives passed a $500 million Detroit Public Schools bailout bill,  but the Senate wants $715 million.

So which bill will actually see the governor's signature? At the FOX 2 studios, Democratic House Minority Leader Rep. Tim Greimel of Auburn Hills on the right, and 8th district Republican Sen. Jack Brandenburg of Macomb County seated in the center.

Major differences in the House and Senate bills means the DPS budget bills could end up in conference committee that would give members the opportunity to tweak and rewrite final language before moving to a vote.
