CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - An accident involving a car hitting a power pole along Interstate 94 caused major backups in the Clinton Township area Thursday morning.
I-94 was closed between Harper and Gratiot avenues but reopened just before 8 a.m.
A car hit a utility pole, knocking out power to the area and sparking a fire on the power pole. About 650 customers in the area lost power, but the power has since been restored.
MDOT had told us that section of the freeway would be closed for the entire morning rush hour.
