Detroit, (FOX 2) - On Sundays, it’s all about the kids at Comerica Park as the Tigers celebrate Kids Day.
“We got a lot of special events on Sunday,” said Tigers Director of Promotions and Special Events, Haley Kolff. “
Easter Sunday is no different. In fact, the Easter Bunny hopped over to Comerica Park this Sunday to join Paws for all the excitement.
However, visits from Paw or the Easter Bunny aren’t the only things that make Kids Day special.
“We have kids run the bases after the game. So they can come out and run the bases like their favorite players. We got free rides on the Carousel and ferris wheel and tons all season long fun,” Kolff said.
The Tigers organization believes families are the key connection with the community.
“A lot of times, kids will emulate their favorite players. Whether it’s a batting stance, how they’re pitching off the mound or how they’re playing the field. That’s all part of it,” said Ron Colangelo, Detroit Tigers Vice President of Communication.
