(WJBK) - Kroger Michigan has announced that none of its stores contain any of the more than 35,000 lbs. of raw ground beef recalled for potentially containing hard plastic.
The company confirmed the division that received a shipment of the potentially contaminated products is Kroger's Mid-Atlantic division, which includes North Carolina, and eastern West Virginia and Virginia.
However, stores in Illinois and Indiana, as well as Jay C and Food 4 Less stores in the Midwest, were shipped two UPCs of 80/20 ground beef (1 lb and 3 lb packages) that are included in the JBS recall.
About half of the meat included in the recall is Kroger ground beef. The packages included in the recall all have a sell-by date of April 9, 2018 and EST. 34176 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Other types include All Natural Laura's Lean beef, and JBS Ground Beef Angus Chuck.
The meat was produced March 22, 2018. These products should be thrown away or returned. Check your freezers, too.
The problem was discovered after the firm got a complaint that someone found blue, hard plastic pieces in the meat.
