A large four-alarm fire broke out at the Buff Whelan Chevrolet in Sterling Heights.

The fire is going on at 18 Mile and Van Dyke. Emergency crews have 18 Mile closed.

Hannah Saunders reports that about four or five employees were inside at the time it started, and said they heard explosions.

Sterling Heights Fire Chief Chris Martin said it appears that it may have started from a floor buffer, and accelerated due to the cleaning chemicals.

Several crews are responding to the fire. Crews from Shelby Township, Utica, Macomb, Fraser and Warren are among those responding.
