Major Metro Detroit flooding causing accidents, road closures

Flooding is causing big problems on the roads this morning a reports come in from the Metro Detroit area.

Closures include southbound I-75 at Clay Street in Detroit, northbound M-10 under Cobo, west I-94 under M-10, east I-94 under M-10, north M-39 at Hubbard, ramps from I-75 northbound and southbound to M-10, as well as both northbound and southbound M-10 at Griswold.

The underpass near Joe Louis and Cobo is heavily flooded, as water gushes from the sewers.

One car was completely submerged this morning in the area. The driver made it out of the vehicle, and the car has been towed.

The Flash Flood Warning has been extended until 2:15 p.m. for Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. FOX 2 Weather Authority predicts the Tigers game will likely not take place.
