Man charged after attack on Detroit EMTs

Michael Montgomery, 30, was charged Thursday with seven counts including assault with intent to murder and assault with intent to maim for stabbing two detroit first responders early Tuesday. Kelly Adams was slashed across her face and Alfredo Rojas was stabbed in the hand and cut across his right eye.

He was also arraigned Wednesday for the violent sexual assault and murder of 16-year-old Dantoya White back in January of 2006.

Police say Montgomery brutally raped and stabbed the teen as she was leaving the same library. For almost a decade, her murder went unsolved. Now, police say they have their man.

Montgomery apologized when he was arrested but Dantoya's uncle says he doesn't buy what he calls a hollow apology.

Montgomery is due back in court next week on all three of these cases.
