WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) - Eighteen-year-old Ethan Carter is locked in jail on a $1 million bond.
He is charged with a number of crimes including 1st degree criminal sexual conduct and 1st degree home invasion.
"He's not a violent person at all," said Cassandra Brown, his cousin, to the judge. “He is a good child."
Warren police say the man was wearing a blue flowered dress and shower cap when he allegedly broke into a home on Ira Boulevard and sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl Thursday morning.
"How far did you go in school, Mr. Carter," asked Judge Matthew Sabaugh.
"I graduated yesterday," he said.
Investigators say Carter was still wearing the dress and shower cap went down the street to Altermatt Park holding a knife and raised his dress exposing himself to a grandmother and two small children - then made a lewd gesture.
Several Warren schools in the area were placed on lockdown while police searched for the suspect.
They arrested him a short time later not far from where he allegedly committed the crimes with the help of their canine unit.
Carter's next court appearance is scheduled for June 18.
