Man shot to death in rental car on Detroit's west side

Detroit police are investigating a man shot to death in his car on the city's west side.

The man was found with multiple gun shot wounds inside his vehicle which has Maryland license plates. The car was also shot up, with the back window blown out according to investigators.

Police said that the victim was originally shot at the Citgo gas station at Eight Mile Road and Glastonbury, before he drove off.

The car was discovered on Motor Drive near Eight Mile and the Lodge with him inside at about 8 a.m.

The 28-year-old died on the way to the hospital. His identity has not been released as of yet.
