Masked gunmen rob woman arriving home

A family member of an armed robbery victim shared the story of a terrifying experience that has shaken her family.

"My sister-in-law entered the home and stated she was robbed by three gentlemen with masks," the relative said. "She said they asked her what the passcode was and they told her to be quiet."

It was just before 4 a.m. when she got out of her car after arriving from work on Cloverlawn Street in Detroit. The suspects had been lying in wait.

"When she got out of her car, they were," she said. "Two guns. They all had guns."

The victim listened closely to the suspects.

"There was no struggle, they asked for her purse and she cooperated and they took whatever she gave them and they drive off."

Police say they are looking for three suspects. The two men who had guns and approached the victim and the third suspect ... who was the driver of the older model silver Dodge Intrepid the trio got away in.

This family member said the incident has devastated her sister-in-law who suffers from a heart condition

"I think she's going to try to go to the doctor today to make sure she's okay," she said.
