A McDonald's employee has been fired and is facing possible criminal charges for allegedly attacking a customer.

The victim, a 31-year-old Detroit woman says after a cashier attacked her inside the store at Vernor and Livernois a few days ago, she and her six children are traumatized.

"I felt hurt, I never felt that in my life," the woman said.  "'Are you all right mommy' he asks me, because it's still in his mind, I don't think he'll ever get that image out of his head seeing someone on his mom like that."

On Thursday she picked the cashier out of a photo lineup. Detroit police say Thursday  that a warrant has been sent to the prosecutor’s office  to arrest the cashier.

An attorney for McDonald's tells FOX 2 that the employee has since been fired.

"They just basically told me they're sorry for what happened to me," she said. "That was about it."

But this woman says that's not good enough. On Saturday night, she says she tried to simply order food. The cashier asked her if she knew someone named Tamika. She said she didn't, then says she was assaulted.

"He came around the counter and started punching me over 15, 20 times," she said. "Everyone there just stood and watched, even the employees."

There are allegations that she knew the man who attacked her, but she says that's not true.

"That's absolutely false," she said. "I do not know him, I've never seen him a day in my life, I've never talked to him."

She called it a case of mistaken identity, adding that even if she did know him, it still doesn't justify the attack.

Police will review the surveillance video that she says will fully support her allegations...

"People can lie but video doesn't lie," she said. "I want everyone to see what happened it's just wrong."

Detroit police say Thursday  they agree.

A statement released from Chapatwala McDonald's said: "This behavior was completely unacceptable. We took this matter seriously and took the appropriate action given the circumstances. The employee in question no longer works for our restaurant."
