Men in red Durango wanted for overnight shooting, robberies and hit-and-runs

- The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public's help finding two men who went on a crime spree in the middle of the night that resulted a shooting, two robberies and two hit-and-runs.

Police say their crimes started around 3:20 a.m. Thursday on Fenkell Street. The two men were driving a red Dodge Durango when police say they pulled up to a man who was walking. Someone inside of the car fired shots at the man.

"They pulled up on him and fired multiple shots at him, one of which struck him on the foot. He then fled the location and sought medical care," Detroit Police Department Commander Nick Kyriacou said.

He was injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is not known at this time.

Then, a half hour later, police say the Dodge Durango side swiped a man riding his bike on Greenfield Road. The men then got out of the Durango and demanded the bike rider's money at gunpoint.

Police say they took book bag and some money from the victim.

Then, around 5:30 a.m., the Durango hit another man who was riding his bike on 8 Mile Road. They also then got out of the car and robbed the victim at gunpoint, taking his cell phone, wallet and keys. They also stole the blue bike the man was riding.

"They side swiped that victim knocking him off of the bicycle. While he was on the ground they approached him, robbed him of some cash and personal items," Kyriacou said.

Police don't have much of a description of the men - they're in their 20s and both are black, but that's about it. What they do have is that Dodge Durango.

If you know anything about these crimes, you're asked to call the Detroit Police Tenth Precinct's Investigations at 313-596-1040 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
