Mom murdered allegedly by teen son was going through 'dark times,' friends say

Friends are remembering a Farmington Hills woman who was murdered this week, allegedly by her own teenage son. He's accused of pushing her out a window.

A mother of three, 35-year-old Nada Houranieh, was a fitness instructor and personal trainer at the Franklin Athletic Club. She was found murdered early Monday morning outside of her Farmington Hills home.

"She was just a beautiful soul," one of her friends told FOX 2.

"The most upbeat, positive, happy smiling human being you'd ever want to meet. She had nothing but love in her heart," said Suzi Terebelo.

Authorities say Nada's 16-year-old son threw her out of a third-floor window. He is in police custody facing first-degree murder charges.

Nada's friends are upset and angry.

"She did whatever she could to make a life for herself and her children, but she was an incredibly beautiful, beautiful human being. Her life was just snuffed out way too short," Terebelo said.

The Farmington Hills woman was going through a divorce and her husband had moved out of their home. However, prosecutors say their two daughters, ages 12 and 14, were in the house at the time of the murder.

Nada's friends are trying to focus on how she inspired others.

"Her hugs meant so much, you felt her love and her positive energy," said friend Itzy Saar.

But she was also going through some dark times.

"There are some things I cannot share with the public, but things that she told me that, I hate to say, I almost saw the signs on the walls. But I didn't know; she always covered it so well that you didn't know exactly what's inside," Saar said.
