More ramps and lanes on I-75 Downriver to close
DETROIT (WJBK) - Downriver travelers are going to face even more problems when heading south on I-75 as the Michigan Department of Transportation project to fix the Rouge River bridge continues.
Drivers headed south on I-75 will face increased lane and ramp closures. Starting Monday, the ramps from Northline/Allen and Eureka that would get you on southbound I-75 will be closed at 9 a.m. Northline, Allen, and Eureka will also only have one lane open under the I-75 bridge.
It doesn't get much better by the time we get to midweek. On Wednesday, the right lane of northbound I-75 from Sibley to Goddard will close as well.
Here is the detailed detour list around I-75
Construction on the $200 million project started in March 2017 to repair the southbound lanes started in March 2017 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
