Mutilated puppy makes an incredible recovery and is ready for adoption

A dog that was neglected and left for dead has made a miraculous recovery and is ready for adoption.

Amari the dog was rescued by Taylor Kerrigan with Rejoyceful Animal Rescue. She was believed to me mauled by another dog and left on the side of the road by her previous owner. 

"She had very many open wounds and was given only a 5% chance of living, for our animal rescue we see as a 5% chance so we're going to try and find a way to make that happen, and as you can see we obviously did everything right," Kerrigan said.

The person who neglected Amari has been given 93 days in jail, paying full restitution for the medical expenses of the dog and will be on probation, not allowed to own any pets.  

7-month old Amari a pit mix now needs a forever home. The perfect fit for her would be a family with a fenced yard so she can have room to play, she plays well with other dogs, and just needs a family that’s going to give her the love and attention she has been missing.
