DETROIT (WJBK) - Several vehicles were involved in a crash on the Southfield Freeway around 2:30 Tuesday, forcing all lanes of the busy highway to close for a time.
The accident happened a little after 2:30 Tuesday afternoon on the northbound lanes of the highway just before the 7 Mile underpass.
According to MSP, nobody was hurt in the crash but the highway was closed as a precaution because one vehicle was carrying oxygen tanks and it may be leaking.
A little after 3 p.m., the center and left lanes were reopened for traffic.
Drivers are still urged to avoid the area as MSP investigates the crash.
