New severe thunderstorm warnings issued for Wayne, Washtenaw

WEB UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm warning is back on for Washtenaw County as of 9:30 p.m.

Also included in the warning is Wayne and Monroe counties - all are in effect until 10 p.m.

An earlier warning for northern Washtenaw and southeastern Livingston counties had been canceled.

Strong storms are still expected to roll through the area with 60 miles per hour gusts and heavy rain.

According to the National Weather Service, northern Washtenaw County and southern Livingston County were expected to be impacted.

At 8:30 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located near Pinckney moving east at 35 miles per hour.

The storm brings with it 60 miles per hour wind gusts and torrential rainfall is occurring with it and may lead to flash flooding. It is expected to arrive in South Lyon at about 9:10 p.m. and Salem at 9:15 p.m.

Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Brighton, Ann Arbor, Dexter, Chelsea, Pinckney, Whitmore Lake and Salem.
