The Genesee County Prosecutor has decided there will be no criminal charges against attorney Mike Morse.

Morse allegedly groped a woman's breast in April at the Steven Lelli's on the Green restaurant in Farmington Hills.

In a statement, Prosecutor David Leyton shared his belief that this matter would be better suited for civil court, also stating admiration for the victim in this case for coming forward.

"Good news, we're very gratified," said Deborah Gordon, Attorney for Mike Morse. "We're happy, we're not surprised. This is exactly the right decision to make. The prosecutor took a hard look at everything probably because of all the publicity. There's not a lot of 'there' there. The complainant has credibility."

Geoffrey Fieger, who filed the suit, was not available for comment.

"I think the request for $10 million is absurd, or you could call it a joke," Gordon said. "This is not about what happened, this is about something else, obviously. It has very little to do with the women involved."

The Genesee County prosecutor was assigned to the case after the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office recused itself.  This is one of several similar harassment lawsuits filed against Mike Morse in recent months.
