Officers discover person shot to death inside car

DETROIT (WJBK) - Police are investigating after a person was found dead inside a car Tuesday morning.

The body was was found shortly after 4 a.m. Police officers happened to be in the area when they heard the gunshots. Following the sound, they found the car parked on Ashton Avenue near Tireman Avenue, which is near the Southfield Freeway.

Officers witnessed two people running from the car when they drove up. They're still looking for those two suspects.

The victim inside the car has not yet been identified.

The victim was found inside a 2006 black BMW.
