Owner of Detroit Coney Island killed in attempted robbery
DETROIT (WJBK) - The owner of a Coney Island on the city's southwest side was killed during an attempted robbery Thursday morning.
Police were called to Detroit Coney Island at Schaefer and Ethel just before 10:00 am to the report of a shooting.
When police arrived, they found a 59-year-old man dead at the scene. According to Detroit Police, the man is the owner of the coney island.
Police believe the man was shot during an attempted robbery that turned bad.
Police are still on the scene and investigating.
