Peeping Tom used ladder to watch woman in Chesterfield Twp

Chesterfield Township police are trying to find a peeping tom.

The incident happened on Dec. 2 at about 9 p.m. on 21 Mile Road and Anchor Drive.

"He used a homeowner's extension ladder," said Sgt. Kenneth Anderson. "Put it up onto the roof (and) walked across a second-story roof to a bedroom window where the shades were open."

Inside the homeowner's 22-year-old daughter was changing her clothes.

"He peeked right through her window and he's right there," Anderson said. "He knocked on the window and motioned with his hand to slide the window open.

"She didn't, she freaked out and ran to her parents."

Police don't know who this peeping tom is or why he chose a house in this area. The victim told police she had never seen him before

"It definitely took some effort and then he had to get down when she screamed," Anderson said.
