Person of interest in Danielle Stislicki's disappearance due in court on unrelated charges
(WJBK) - UPDATE: Galloway's preliminary exam was rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, in order to give defense time to prepare.
The person of interest in Danielle Stislicki's missing person's case will be in court Thursday on unrelated charges. He has a hearing in a separate case, in which he's accused of attacking a female jogger near Edward Hines Park in Livonia.
Floyd Russell Galloway Jr. will be in court Thursday in connection with that case. His hearing is expected to begin at 9 a.m. You can watch a livestream on our Facebookpage here when it begins.
Galloway was arrested for allegedly violently assaulting the 28-year-old woman on September 4, 2016. The victim reported that a man grabbed her, dragged her down an embankment as he strangled her. She fought the suspect off and was able to call police.
Galloway has been charged with kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct - assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder by strangulation. His bond was set at $750,000.
Separately, police have said Galloway is a person if interest in the disappearance of Danielle Stislicki, a 28-year-old woman who hasn't been seen since December 2, 2016. It was widely reported Stislicki was last seen with Galloway, who worked as a security guard at her job in Southfield.
Investigators searched his home in Berkley three weeks later, removing a bed and a section of flooring. It's unclear if the evidence police collected is tied to Galloway's arrest.

Stislicki disappeared after leaving work that day in December. Her SUV was found a day later outside of her Independence Green apartment in Farmington Hills. Her purse was still inside of her car.
Galloway has not been charged in Stislicki's disappearance.
“The Stislicki case remains an active investigation. The pieces of the puzzle have been slowly falling into place since Danielle disappeared on December 2. Investigators are optimistic the case will be solved. They will not rest until justice is obtained for Danielle and the Stislicki family,” Farmington Hills Police Chief Chuck Nebus has said.
