The Pistons made it official Tuesday, announcing they are moving back to downtown Detroit.

Detroit basketball will be played in the city, starting next season at Little Caesars Arena, formally announced in a joint press conference with the Ilitch family.

"This is a historic day for our franchise, and for the City of Detroit," Pistons owner Tom Gores said. "We're moving to a beautiful new arena that will provide a state-of-the-art fan experience, and we're investing in the future of Detroit."

Pistons owner Tom Gores took time afterward to talk about the big move one-on-one with FOX 2's Jennifer Hammond.
