Police catch cross-dressing Brighton bank robber

State police have arrested a man accused of being a cross-dressing bank robber.

A police fugitive team arrested 33-year-old Brian Ali Jr. in Lansing last Thursday.

He faces five counts of armed robbery and four counts each of bank robbery and unlawful imprisonment.

On April 4, police said Ali walked into the PNC Bank in Brighton dressed as a woman. He had a handgun and what appeared to be a bomb, and took off with an unknown amount of money.

He's being held in the Livingston County Jail on a $1.5 million bond.
