The Oakland County Sheriffs Office says deputies tried to pull over the driver of this Chevy trailblazer in Independence Township Wednesday morning after receiving several 911 calls for reckless driving.

But the man took off, leading police on a chase.  Police called off the chase going into Highland township as the driver kept slamming on his brakes causing police to smash into him.
