Police: Drunk driver's child on life support in 3 car crash
DETROIT - A woman who police say was drunk, caused a three-vehicle crash critically injuring her son Thursday.
The woman's 10-year-old son is on life support in extremely critical condition at Detroit Children's Hospital of Michigan. His mother is in serious condition at a local hospital.
The crash happened at Greenfield and Margareta on Detroit's west side at 5 p.m., according to Michigan State Police.
The woman, who was driving a Chevrolet Malibu, slammed into the rear of a Jeep Cherokee, which hit a 2014 Lincoln MKT.
Both drivers are in stable condition at an area hospital. The driver of the Cherokee, a 28-year-old woman, suffered a leg injury, while the Lincoln driver, a 73-year-old man, had back and neck injuries.
