Police investigate West Bloomfield teens for allegedly planning school shooting

- Three West Bloomfield High School students have been suspended for allegedly threatening indirectly to shoot up their school.

Police discovered images of a gun and a swastika, and learned they were using friend locator apps, renaming their school location as "school shooting site #3."

"It's super messed up, I don't know if they don't expect something to happen from that," said Michael Bramble, a recent high school graduate.

The students told authorities the alleged threat was just a joke.

"It's a scary world that we live in now. Things do, I think, have to be taken seriously. And kids have to realize things are not fun to joke about,"

Not fun to joke about," said Joy Clarkson, a parent.

Police say this all stemmed from a female student being bullied earlier this month.

"It all starts at home," said Henry Cristini, a parent.

He says parents have to talk to their kids about the consequences of their actions. It's a lesson he's taught his daughters Ari and Bella.

"I think it's a lesson where you should think before you act," Bella Cristini said.

Police say they will not be pressing charges against the students.
