Police: Person of interest sought in fatal shooting
The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a person of interest wanted in connection with a homicide that took place on the city's east side Friday evening.
Police say on Friday around 11:00 p.m. in the 17000 block of Charest, the 38-year-old male victim was observed lying on the ground, with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The Detroit Police Homicide section is looking to speak with Michael Leon Hailey AKA "Malik", black male, 36.
At this time Hailey is considered a person of interest and it is believed that he has information regarding this homicide.
