Police searching for suspect in fatal hit-and-run

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating and identifying an unknown suspect wanted in connection with a fatal hit and run incident that occurred on the city's east side Friday night. 

Police say that a 64 year-old male victim was crossing the street in the crosswalk at Randolph and Larned, when he was struck by a silver Chevy Impala driven by an unknown suspect.
According to police, the vehicle was heading northbound on Randolph Street when they hit the victim. The victim is not being identified due to next of kin notification.
The suspect did not stop after hitting the victim and continued driving.
The victim was conveyed to the local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The description of the suspect is unknown at this time. 
The vehicle is described as a silver Chevy Impala with tinted windows and a sun roof.
