Police: 'Signs of trauma' found with couple discovered dead in home

CLINTON TWP., Mich. (WJBK) - A Clinton Township couple was found dead in their home Friday.

The couple in their 50s were found dead in their own home on Uther Street.

No cause has been determined yet, but investigators say there were signs of trauma.

Police say after they did not return phone messages, the deceased wife's brother came to the house, north of 18 Mile and east of Hayes, and found them.
 
Police were not disclosing to family the cause of death or who investigators believed were responsible.

The man next door said he's lived beside and known the couple for 20 years

"They were very good neighbors," the man said. "They were very nice, always pleasant."

The neighbor said he knew nothing about how the couple died and although he believes it's a nice friendly neighborhood he has been a crime victim.

The investigation is ongoing according to police.
