Red Wings selling commemorative vials of melted Joe Louis Arena ice

- The Detroit Red Wings are giving hockey fans a chance to own a piece of history as they begin their first season at the new arena.

For $85, fans can purchase a vial of melted ice the Red Wings skated on during the Farewell Season at The Joe.

It comes with a 6" x 8" shadowbox featuring a framed photo of the Farewell to The Joe Ceremony.

The vials are limited edition though - only 3,000 will be sold, with proceeds benefiting Detroit Red Wings Foundation,

Shipping's included and they take about 5-7 weeks for processing.
