Ron Ilitch, son of former Tigers and Red Wings owner Mike Ilitch, dead
DETROIT (WJBK) - Ronald Ilitch, the son of the former of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings Mike Ilitch, has been found dead, FOX 2 has learned.
The family confirmed Ron Ilitch's in a statement from Christopher Ilitch:
"On behalf of my mother Marian Ilitch and our entire family, I want to express our sadness and grief at Ron's passing. We're devastated about this loss, and we ask for respect of the family's privacy during this difficult time."
How Ron Ilitch died is unknown.
In 2014, he pleaded guilty to cocaine charges and was sentenced to probation.
