"I'm very worried because I don't know what's going on with my son, I don't know if he's alive or not," said Gwendolyn Carter, the missing teen’s mother.

Seventeen-year-old Jaylon Wilson’s mother tells Fox 2 that she got a call from her son shortly after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Earlier he’d had an altercation with a group of men on Auburn Street between Sawyer and Tireman on Detroit’s west side.

"Supposedly they were saying he took something and he didn't. These guys jumped on him and took his shoes and he fought back and basically he didn't want to leave because they took his shoes and hasn't done anything."

Carter says she tried to calm her son down and convince him to leave the area.

She tells us, after she got that phone call from her son, she quickly went to Auburn, but she couldn’t find him.

"I got a call on my way there that six or seven guys were chasing him."

"So after he wouldn't leave, like seven or eight other guys rand out to chase him and I was aware they had caught him and beat him, and put him in a silver Impala or Malibu."

Detroit Police confirm they are looking for Jaylon Wilson and they are concerned for his safety. Investigators say he was abducted at about 12:30 in the afternoon on Westwood near West Warren.

A day later there are no new leads on the missing teenager of the people who took him.

Right now police can’t confirm what lead up to the altercation.

"To speculate on whether it was drug related or any other crime relation, we don't know that at this point," said Capt. Ken Balinski, Detroit Police Dept.

Until more questions are answered, Wilson’s mother can only hope for her son’s safe return.

"He's 17 years old and these were grown men that I'm aware jumped on my son."

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 17-year-old Jaylon Wilson or the people who abducted him should call Detroit Police right away.
