Search for suspects after Detroit officer's car window shot out

Detroit police are searching for a suspect after an officer's patrol car window was shot out on Detroit's west side. 

The shooting happened shortly before 2 p.m. Monday in the area of Evergreen Road and Westfield Avenue. We're told the officer's window shattered, but the officer inside was not struck by the bullet. He's being examined for any glass-related injuries at this time.

Meanwhile, authorities are searching the area of Tireman Avenue and Minock Street just a few blocks south from where the shooting took place. 

It is not known at this time if the officer's car was parked or in motion when the shooting happened.
