Server arrested in Troy restaurant fight; woman throws glass at employees

Police in Troy say a server at seafood restaurant assaulted a customer after a complaint over bad service.

According to police, a customer complained at McCormick and Schmick's Restaurant in Troy Sunday evening. The paying customer ended up talking with the manager about the employee and received an apology.

Then the server's service got even worse.

Police said the 21-year-old server started arguing with the customer and it turned physical. Witnesses said the customer threw a glass at the employees. She also had her necklace ripped off and broken by the server.

A second involved in the scuffle had bruising on her arm and had a fingernail ripped off in the fight.

The server was arrested and charged with assault and battery. Police said she has misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear.

Police say there is video of the incident but is not releasing it at this time.
