Shooting reported near Grand Circus Park in downtown Detroit

Detroit police are investigating a shooting of an 18-year-old in the face near Grand Circus Park downtown.

The incident happened in the area of Adams and Woodward Ave, at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to DPD. Two men have been arrested and a third person, a woman is being sought by investigators.

"We had an individual approached by three other individuals and we have video footage of what appears to be an altercation that took place," said Detroit police spokesman. "At some point during that altercation, the victim fell to the ground. Once he fell, the three suspects fled the location westbound from Adams here. 

"We have an 18-year-old victim shot in the face. He is currently in guarded, but stable condition."

Officers have detained two people of interest who fit the description from the video, police said, adding that some marijuana was found at the scene. 

Police have not released information about possible suspects, two people were arrested matching descriptions but a sources told FOX 2 that they may be released soon.
