Sisters killed when they run red light, get t-boned by semi-truck

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (WJBK) - Dearborn Heights Police say two sisters were killed Thursday when their vehicle ran through a red light and was t-boned by a semi-truck.

According to police, the two victims were in their Ford Focus when they ran a red light at Beech Daly and Van Born. Police said the sisters were t-boned by a semi- truck traveling down Van Born. They also said the truck had the right-of-way.
 
The Ford was pushed about 100 yards down Van Born until the semi-truck could come to a stop.

The victims' identities has not been released at this time.
