Snow knocks tree down in middle of Detroit street

- Saturday's snow storm leaves behind an additional problem for one homeowner in Detroit. The heavy snow brought down a big tree in the middle of Ferguson Street, which is near 8 Mile and Southfield roads.

After the homeowner says she called police six times, they came out and placed caution tape in front of Terry Lowman's lawn. But instead of turning around, people were driving over her lawn even after she used SUV to block them.

"People are driving like they're crazy, up across my grass," she says. "It being slick, and ice, you just think the fact that somebody might lose control of the car and hit the house."

It's a house Lowman has called home since 1975. Lowman just spent thousands of dollars putting down sod this past summer, so she was also concerned about the damage drivers might do to her lawn.

The city came out late in the day Saturday to remove the tree.
