Special Goodfellow edition newspapers to be sold during annual paper drive

- Members of the Old Newsboys' Goodfellow Fund of Detroit take to the streets for the 104th Annual Sales Day & Parade on Monday, Nov. 27 starting at 6 a.m.

Detroit Goodfellows, Detroit police officers, and Detroit firefighters will sell a special "Goodfellow edition" of The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press in various locations throughout the city.
"One in three children in the Detroit public school system gets a package at this point, there's always more need out there so we're always trying to make more connections to give to the kids," Dr. Mike Jennings president of Detroit GoodFellows said.
Newspapers are sold for any donation amount and all money raised goes toward the Detroit Goodfellows' 2017 fundraising goal of $1.1 million to provide Goodfellow holiday gift packages to 34,000 needy Detroit area children aged 4 - 13.
