Stack of money found in Kroger parking lot

Authorities are still waiting for the owner of some money found in a grocery store parking lot to come forward.

The cash was found on July 19 at the Kroger store on East Grand River Avenue in Brighton Township. The woman who found it turned it into the store.

No one had reported losing it.

Right now, the money is at the Michigan State Police post in Brighton, waiting for the owner to come forward. But if it's yours - you'll know it.

"We haven't released the amount of money or how it was packaged yet, so whoever lost it should be able to provide those details to us," says State Police First Lt. Joel Allen.

If no one comes forward within six months, the woman who found it can keep it.
