State police crack down on commercial truck crashes

The Michigan State Police are cracking down on commercial trucks with their new enforcement operation, Eyes on 94.

"We are looking for those speeding violations, you know, driving too closely, distracted driving," said Lt. Mike Shaw, Michigan State Police.

And if you're breaking the law, you will be handed a ticket.

"We are doing a little preemptive strike here before we get into the winter season," Shaw said.

State police tell us that the winter season has a lot of commercial truck accidents, especially on the I 94 expressway.

FOX 2 took a little trip along I-94 to see if the state police were out. They were.
