Steve Bannon to speak Nov. 8 at Macomb County GOP dinner

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is coming to Macomb County.

Bannon will be the keynote speaker at the Macomb County Republican Unity Dinner Nov. 8 at Andiamo Warren, 14 Mile Road. The event runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. with tickets available online.

Bannon is the current executive chairman of Breitbart News, where he returned after leaving Washington DC last August. The dinner takes place a year to the day Donald Trump won the state of Michigan for the first time in a presidential election since 1988 (George HW Bush).

Macomb County proved to the key battleground in how Trump won Michigan, with 53.6 percent of the votes against Hillary Clinton's 42.1 percent.
