Suspect in custody after a dispute between roommates end in gunfire

DETROIT (WJBK) - An argument between roommates resulted in shots being fired Sunday morning on Detroit's southwest side.

During the argument, police say the victim produced a handgun. 

There was a struggle between the two, and the suspect tried to disarm the victim but the weapon discharged. 

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

A 62-year-old black male is in custody from the incident.

Police are investigating.
