Suspect kicks deputy, gets tased after breaking into same home twice in a day

- A big scare for a teen and his little brother in Pontiac when a crook forces his way inside their home - twice.

The second time - the kids called 911 and the guy didn't go down easy.

A normal Saturday afternoon on Kuhn Street in Pontiac neighborhood until a 15-year-old's phone rings.

"My mom called me and told me to lock the door, her ex- was mad for some reason," the teen said. "I don't know why. As soon as I locked the door, he kicked the door in and was speed walking in my direction and told me to go into my room."

He did as he was told, meanwhile the TVs were torn from the wall.  He stayed in their his 10-year-old brother asleep in the room next door. Minutes later the guy is gone.

Mom comes home and they file a report with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office and think that's the end.

"He came back a second time with the door not being able to lock because it was broken," the teen said. "He walked straight into my brother's room and I took my brother and we called 911."

This time the 10-year-old saw the whole thing.

"He was sitting down playing his video game," the teen said.

A PlayStation, and a laptop were stolen during this second break-in according to the victims.  A reminder of the crimes - the family's TVs sit on the curb.

"Those TVs were partially destroyed the first time and then he came back and stomped them," the teen said.

But police were able to track down the suspect and pull him over on a Pontiac street.

According to the sheriff's office, the ex- didn't go without a fight after he allegedly kicked a deputy. He was tazed and thrown in a cruiser then taken here to this jail.

No one was hurt, but it's likely an ordeal that will some time to get over for the family.  But they want to share this story in hopes that other families will not hesitate to call 911 in the face of danger.

"Knowing the world that we are in right now," the teen said. "It's very important to call 911."
