Suspect shoots, robs man of gold chain at Detroit gas station

Detroit police are also looking for the man suspected of shooting and robbing a man Thursday at a gas station in Detroit.

It happened at a Clark gas station at Dexter Avenue and Davison Street.

The victim was confronted as he was getting back into his car after buying something inside. There was a scuffle, followed by gun shots. The victim was hit  in the leg and buttocks.

The gunman stole his gold chain and ran away. He was spotted getting into a newer gold Chevy Cruise on Waverly Street, a block away, and then driving off.

Police believe this was a random robbery and that the suspect scoped out the area before the attack.

"This guy was very methodical and determined in the way he perpatrated that crime, so [it] prevents a very grave danger to the citizens of Detroit," says Detroit Police Capt. Nick Kyriacou.

The victim is critically injured.

The suspect is said to have a noticable white mark on his left hand.
