Suspected serial rapist arrested by Dearborn police

Dearborn police say they have arrested a man they believe is a serial rapist who has broken into several homes in the metro Detroit area.

Dearborn police say the cases date back to 2011 and have happened in multiple cities.

Police did not name the suspect, or give details about which cities the crimes took place in, but say they will give more information at a news conference on Friday.

"The arrest of this suspect will hopefully provide closure to our victims and it is important to note that all members of this Task Force have expended an enormous amount of resources and energy into this investigation. This collaborative effort along with citizen cooperation has resulted in a very dangerous predator being taken off the streets," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a news release.
