Royal Oak police and fire are investigating a string of recent vehicle fires that they say are suspicious in nature.

The most recent fires happening Saturday morning in the area of Bauman and Ferris Avenues near the intersection of Campbell and 14 Mile road.

Police say a white older model Chevy pick-up truck and a van inside of a garage were deliberately set on fire Saturday morning. There were no injuries and the garage was not attached to a home. Police and fire officials do think the cause of these fires is arson in nature.

According to police, there have been three other suspicious vehicles fire in the same area within the last week. With the two fires Saturday, that would be 5 suspicious fires in less than two weeks.
